#LiverProof - April 1-8, 2017

Day 1: Redemption Rye Whiskey

Day 2: Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch Whisky

Day 3: Prichard's Rye Whiskey sample from Flaviar.com

Day 4: Zudiam Rye Whisky, sampling provided by Flaviar.com

Day 5: Sazerac cocktail using RedemptionRye whiskey, Obsello absinthe rinse, Angostura aromatic #bitters and a hint of Scrappys Bitters Lavender. Simple. Delicious. Proper.

Day 6: Cold brewed some imported Oregon CycleTown Coffee Roasters coffee mixed with a pinch of brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and a spoon of Mexican vanilla. I then hit a sugar cube with a few dashes of Angostura bitters and Scrappys Bitters lavender. Finally, I added two fingers of Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch Whisky, and now I'm sitting pretty with my attempt at a Legitimus Cocktail. Good effort.. all I need now is an ice ball.

Day 7: Redemption Rye Whiskey and an iceball.

Day 8: Legitimus cocktail spinoff with friends and games.

The Golden Tiki - Las Vegas - September 1, 2015

Some tasty Tiki Drinks are to be had at this new establishment in Las Vegas' Chinatown... and maybe a little booty, too!

Upon entering you're blasted with a rush of cold air and a stale scent reminiscent of the Disney theme park ride, Pirates of the Caribbean. You're then greeted with a mighty, 'Yo-Ho!' and funneled into a dock-side, tiki bar. I wouldn't put it past the props department at Disney making note of some missing treasured assets from Jungle Cruise, either. The meticulous attention to detail here was spot on for a Vegas themed bar. The vibe was great, the tunes were surfing, and the drinks were stiff.

Bang for the buck, you're looking at around $11 per drink. A 'whopping' $3 bump from my favorite dirty dive, Frankie's Tiki Room. But, well worth it, since the air pollution won't linger on with you for day or two. Great ambiance and great drinks. I'll make my way there again and take a look at their Tiki mugs ($29) to start adding to my collection.

Pictured below are some tasty cocktails that were had:
Hotel Nacional, Kalani's Sunrise and a Polynesian Haze.

New York Adventure - February 5-8, 2015

Flew in just in time to watch the sunset over the empire.

Cuban style Breakfast at Tiffany's... instead of a a basic croissant and coffee, we did empanadas and fried plantains. Proper.

Rockefeller Center and some kisses... Kinda love this little lady.

Had a quick bite at Ramen Setagaya just to warm up.

A 'Fool's Rush In' style dessert. Papaya King, the best Hot Dogs in New York!

Neat little board game shop on the way to the Empire State building.

Celebrating and early Valentine's Day at the Empire State Building, 'Sleepless in Seattle' style.

Dinner  at Bauhaus and ordered Chairman Bao (Pork Belly), Bird Haus (fried chicken), and some delicious Taro Fries. #FoodPorn!

A couple things reminiscent of Downtown Las Vegas.

A traditional Costa Rican breakfast at home.

Some of the best chicken I've ever had.. Peaches' Hot Chicken is definitely a must have in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Arranged a night's stay in a very cool spot in Bed-Stuy via AirBnB. This place awesome. A coffee shop downstairs, close to the bus stops and walking distance from some great eateries. Not to mention, the home of Notorious B.I.G.!

After a long day of wandering... We might as well enjoy New York's finest delicacy... PIZZA!

Our last stop was Brooklyn Bridge Park. This view has been seen in many movies, we just had to poser for a couple shots despite the snow!
