From Hawkins to the Upside Down: Netflix Stranger Things x RSVLTS Integrated Campaign

A campaign built on bold visuals, eerie lighting, and ‘80s vibes. Perfect for the fans who know their way around the upside down...

RSVLTS opened the gate to Hawkins with a fully immersive concept we developed in collaboration with Netflix’s licensing team. Our two-day production brought the Stranger Things world to life through practical builds and atmospheric lighting that pulled fans straight into the story.

Day 1 transported us into the Upside Down with handmade vines, textured rock builds, a licensed backdrop, black mylar flooring, and heavy smoke glowing under deep red light. Day 2 flipped the tone with Hawkins High lockers dressed in ‘80s props, including cassette players, baseball bats, bicycles, school desks, and subtle fan easter eggs like Will’s missing poster, Hellfire sketches, overdue library slips, and handwritten Dungeons and Dragons character sheets.

The creative direction pulled from retro trading cards, illustrated movie posters, and VHS era textures. Even the email rollout mimicked the Netflix interface, giving fans the feeling of choosing their next episode. The result was a punchy, atmospheric campaign that blended nostalgia, tension, and fandom into one seamless Stranger Things experience.
