HOTEL, RESORT & CASINO BRANDS
These are the building blocks that make up a large portion of advertising in Las Vegas. I've had the opportunity to work with a handful of hotels, resorts, casinos, restaurants, and entertainment venues through agency and personal relationships. From digital ads to large format design, below you'll find a mixed bag of campaigns that kept each brand in the minds of their current and future customers.
Luxor Hotel & Casino
"Get Your Lux On" Rebrand Campaign
The idea behind the campaign was determining the x-factor for the revamped Luxor. Among the remodeling, new restaurants, bars, and entertainment, the x-factor wasn't really an 'X' so much as it was a 'LUX'. The 'Get your LUX on!' campaign spawned a handful of other tag lines and a new look for the design standards of the hotel. The new campaign included print ads, signage, digital banners, and billboards. The Virgen Advertising agency case study can be viewed here.

Tournament of Kings
Outdoor Banner Campaign
A large set of banners were needed for Excalibur's show, 'Tournament of Kings.' The design had to encompass the feel of a medieval arena where customers eat with their hands, toast grand goblets overflowing with brew, and cheer on their favorite knights as they duel to the death! The tapestries were photographed and manipulated to flow across the banner length with a unique look for each.

Thunder from Down Under
Rebrand Campaign
If you've wandered down the Las Vegas strip, I'm sure you've locked eyes with this billboard for Excalibur's Thunder from Down Under. Brainstorming steamy puns for this Australian supplied male revue, landed a great one-liner by yours truly, "Vegas' #1 Girls Night Out... back."
Roles: Concept & Design
Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas
Bi-Monthly Publication
The "Good Times" informed readers of future events, specials and exciting news and is intended to be bold and a short read. Most sections included a small paragraph of copy and required a lot of imagery to work with the layout and design. Every issue abided by a specific template with a customizable middle spread. There was a very small budget for any new imagery and required a lot photo manipulation.

Digital Billboards
This design was for a digital billboard on Hofbrahaus Las Vegas' property. The concept was to push their design to be bigger and bolder, as well as, direct the audience to the location from where the billboard was placed. I was to keep their current branding in mind and use their provided imagery. Fresh ideas and witty copy lead the design in the “right” direction.
Roles: Concept & Design
Fremont Street Experience
Absolutely 80’s with Nina Blackwood Billboard
I was commissioned to illustrate MTV’s original video jockey (VJ), Nina Blackwood, in the reminiscent 80’s fashion of Patrick Nagel. The art was used for the Fremont Street Experience 'Absolutely 80's' event all summer long. The intention for the design campaign was to give downtown Las Vegas’ throwback event a retro feel using neon streaks, scripted fonts and star bursts.

South Seas Island Resort (RFP)
Marketing Campaign
For decades, generations of guests have made South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island the vacation destination of choice in which to share treasured moments and make lasting memories. The iconic 330-acre wildlife preserve spans two and a half miles of pristine white-sand beaches framing the tranquil waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
I was tasked to design a few concepts for a rebranded marketing campaign, within a team of creatives. The designs included print ads and billboards including the tagline, "East Coast. West Coast. Gulf Coast. Your Coast."
